This sub-fund is passively managed and aims to track the performance of the MSCI World ex Switzerland Small Cap Selection Index. To achieve this objective, the sub-fund may use an optimised sampling strategy and invest primarily in a representative selection of equities and equity-like securities and rights – such as share certificates, participation certificates, cooperative shares, and participation certificates – issued by companies represented in the index. In contrast to the full replication method, the optimised sampling method may result in lower transaction costs when rebalancing the portfolio, but may also lead to higher fluctuations in the difference between the index return and the return achieved by the investor. The sub-fund may also invest in shares of passively managed domestic and foreign listed and unlisted collective investment schemes which are compatible with the investment policy.
