The fund’s objective is to achieve long term capital growth. The Fund will seek to achieve this by investing in a managed portfolio composed primarily of securities of companies listed on the stock markets of non-OECD countries or of companies the majority of whose sales or assets are in non-OECD countries. The Investment Adviser has an investment philosophy based on identifying companies selling below their business value. The Investment Adviser seeks to do this by rigorous security analysis of individual companies with whom it has become familiar during a program of in-country management visits which have been carried out on a continuous basis since 1991. The Investment Adviser looks for investment in what it considers to be "true" emerging markets.
