Romania PPI Falls Further In September
(RTTNews) - Romania's producer prices continued to decline in September, figures from the National Institute of Statistics showed Tuesday.
The producer price index fell 2.8 percent year-over-year in September, slightly faster than the 2.7 percent decrease in the previous month. Producer prices have been falling since October 2014.
Prices in the domestic market slid 2.5 percent in September from a year ago and foreign market prices dropped by 3.3 percent.
Among the main industrial groupings, prices in the energy sector plunged 10.1 percent annually in September and that for intermediate goods industry went down by 1.6 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices decreased at a slower pace of 0.3 percent in September, following a 0.7 percent fall in August.
